            Microsoft has just announced the introduction of some low cost smarties. The highlight however is that the phones will support the ability of being easily upgradable to windows 10, whenever the mobile OS is released.
    In addition to announce the soon to be here mobile version, windows 10, and
highlighting its features, microsoft talked about the devices that would bo coming soon and would easily be available even on a low financial plan.
    Also yesterday during the conference microsoft showed of some windows 10 phones and reall talked on its special features.
    Among the low cost phones announced where new comers Lumia 640 and Lumia 640 XL. Both phones will come with windows 8.1 but can be upgraded to windows 10 when the OS later debuts in the  market.

   The phones will come at ver low prices, ranging from  $150 to $160. The 3G lite model can be gotten for as low as $150, while the 4G lite for as low as $160. The lumia 640 offers a nice 5.0 inch display. From the speech given by Mr.Stephen Elop, the executive vice president of the devices division, the 640XL will be coming out rather soon, probably this month, while the Lumia 640 in early April.

     EXPANDABLE STORAGE: On most android phones, you've got the option of increasing your phones memory with an SD card. You could even get a low grade android phone and upgrade, witha n SD card. And sure, SD cards are getting cheap these days.

              Previous version of windows mobile , windows 8.1 had just three tile sizes, small, medium and large. The new windows mobile OS features the addition of extra two tile sizes. One long, and the not-so-new large tile sizes.       
            Possibly this additional functionality may not be available for the preview that will be made available to the public, but microsoft has re-assured that they will be added later. High chances are that the functionalities wil also depend on the nature of the apps, and hence on developers. Most apps currently do not support the new tile sizes.
         All the same we've got reasons to feel good about this new feature. Sure you'll be using the new tiles sizes on your windows 10. Or won't you?

               Corning glass technologies, the company whose tech stuff is featured in iphones and galaxies, has announced that it is working on a new set of high tech glass that could significantly shrink the thickness of LCD TVs, maybe to that of smart phones.

              The high tech stuff behind this is the  iris glass. According to a spokesman, the iris glass is several times stiffer than plastic, enabling smart TV manufacturers to build LCD display as thin as 10mm. From reports available, we expect this new technology to find its way in home LCDs soon.

         The deal surely shows twitter's intent to boost their growth and provide more competition for thier better counterpart facebook. Also, we've also got reports that twitter also suppplies data to Yahoo, and microsoft's Bing search engines. The new deal with google will give twitter the opportunity of benefit from the information left on the site by logged out users.

         Google makes quite a lot of things free and cheap. Most apps and games that are totally free on the android platforms can only be purchased on the iOS platform. And in most cases, this apps are quite too expensive.

This isn't quite a plus when you've splashed the cash on getting a smartphone, and then you have to spend more on purchasing apps that can be gotten free on play store.

            PRICE:

       This is enough reason to get a quality yet cheap smartie. The availability of  of android devices on the production line of so many manufacturers is quite a big plus as it helps ensure low cost due to competition. Currently it looks like Hauwei  is rivaling Techno in  the production of extremely cheap smartphones. The price of iphones will not just leave the that thousand dollar range.

           BETTER HARDWARE: 

  Due to the abailability of android on different smartphones, on the average most people will prefare android over iphones, as a result of hardware preferences. For exemple, better camera, easily expandable memory, and better screen resolution.

               Conclusion: The war between android and iphone will still continue as each brand seeks to dominate more of the market than the other. iphone lovers will still prefare the excitment of the iphone and android freaks will still prefare the unlimited abilities of android.

            What is the high tech visual stuff that makes smartphones and tablets tick in our hands? You got it- it's the multi-touch screen. Not up to a decade ago we could tap away with a stylus on our palm devices, and then we were able to ben our fingers on the blackberry touch. The came the radical apple iphone and within months, people were tapping, swipping at images on their phones, manouvers that were impossible years ago.

          In this post, we'll be checking out what makes this valuable technology tick and a new advancement, The one glass touchscreen. The one glass technology unlike the old layer- arrangement of touch screen components combines all the components(except one) of the touch screen in one single, compact glass. There are two ways to achieve this- The sensor on lens and the "on-cell" capacitive touch screen. The "on-cell" capacitive touch is more commonly used. As it is cheaper to build. The on-cell approach makes use of a layer of  indium tin oxide is deposited on the top layer of the LCD panel, and patterned to form electrodes for touch sensing. A thing insulating layer is placed on that, and a second layer of indium silver oxide is placed on the insulating layer, and patterned with electrodes. After this the top polarizing layer is applied on top and the arrangement is capped with the cover glass of the whole panel.In the sensor on lens type of one glass, the  touch sensitive component- indium tin oxide is deposited directly on the back of the cover glass. A thin insulator layer is added to the bottom of that, and then a second layer of indium tin oxide is applied on top of that. The second layer is patterned into electrodes arranged at right angles to the first layer. The whole arrangement is then laminated into a standard LCD pane. The one glass technology eliminates one layer in the conventional seperated-layer arrengement, making LCDs  thinner, clearer and sensor on lens to the  on-cell  technology.                           REASONS WHY WINDOWS MOBILE SUCKS!

               Disclaimer:  This was actully put up in the interest of two brand I love so much- Nokia and

              windows. I'm a nokia freak, who decided to ditch symbian in favour of my first smart phone- a windows phone. And I would really hate it if those two brands should make me regret my decision.

I still want windows to be a strong competitor for google and iOS, not just because of my loyalty but because if that doesn't the mobile world will never be complete. It will be left with just two giants who will only growl at each other, instead of developing.

 

          Its no news that microsoft windows has proved to be the loser in the smartphone business. Its also no news that in the process, microsoft windows has killed a former world leading mobile brand- Nokia. For more than a decade windows has been the big guy in the PC business.And so with the evolution of some more portable yet powerful PCs, one would expect a dynamic OS in this smaller devices, but it looks like thats not going to happen in the near future. Don't be mistaken, the windows OS for mobile sure can compete with iOS and Android only if if microsoft can buckle up. This post is a product of general opinion, from it we'll get to know why this OS is fading off.

•  The operating system isn't just mobile. Windows has always dominated the desktop world. But I think porting the windows 8 OS into their mobile was their worst mistake ever, especially when desktop windows users have issues with windows 8. The OS just sucks big time. Its a turn off for android users who are used to customising their themes on the platform. 

•     Their appstore is shit. They don't even have PES 2014 on it. I havn't been able to download the windows version of my favourite apps because they are just so expensive and are exclusive to some locations. Infact I think if windows has to upgrade, they should touch their appstore first of all. The joy of smart phones is in app store. I've got a list of great apps we enjoy on android free that are either missing on Windows store or are just to expensive to splash the cash on them.

• I can't just share my apps easily. What shit. Windows doesn't just allow us to share our apps with pals. Not so cool uh? No flashare, just an outdated bluetooth.

• Stop forcing Bing on us!   Every windows user knows that on windows mobile, there is no option of changing our choice of a search engine. The browser just redirects to bing each time you want to search. And I just have to confess, I think I prefare google to that stuff.
• Uh! windows internet explorer?. Don't those microsoft guys know that on the web IE is treated as a second hand browser. That browser sucks! 70% of web builders don't even consider it. Well that isn'n the fault  of microsoft anyway, but they just have to do something to get back the attention of developers.    

•  I can't even host a hotspot easily. On android and iOS all you need is to pull down a menu and with a single tap of the "hotspot" button you're connected. That of windows involves such a stressful procedure. 

                But hey I'll still repeat it, I for one will always be a fan of windows and loyal nokia user. And I think it isn't going to be the end for windows mobile. For real!. All you got to do is get the math problem on your cam's focus, and the answer appears. Below we got a step-by-step, for that smart kid, who is interested in grabbing his helpful tool.

        

 Step one: Download the app by simply following the link photomath.net

Step two: Open the app, the camera automatically activates your rear camera.

Step three: Make sure the equation is in a frame, and is on a suitable background to be picked up by the camera.

Step four: Scan the equation, you could zoom in and out by swipping and dragging. The answer immeditely pops out in red. Double tap the answer, and the steps in solving the problem will be laid out clearly. Cool uh?

       There are four function buttons at the bottom of the screen, the Steps button shows the steps involved in solving the problem, a tap on the History button brings up your recent scans, the light button turns on your phones LED flashlight, just in case your home work is being done in the dark. The Help button launches a brief tutorial on PhotoMath, which is also launched on your first time of launching the PhotoMath app. 

               The app currently supports fractions, decimals, powers, roots, standard linear equations. But one problems is that it doesn't support hand written stuff. And so you must scan from a text book, or some other documents. It's reallly a great tool for the advanced student.

Is worth N16000,On online nigerian stores. Equipped with 3MP rear camer and flash+ a 3.5 inch display, 3G Network and runs 4.2 android jelly bean.

MTN STEPPA S620.

Unarguably the cheapest and released some months ago by MTN. You've got no excuse for not owning a smartie. Its cool, with its android 2.3.5 gingerbread version running on 1GHz single core with 1GHz ram, long lasting batter power and more. It cost an incredibly cheap N7999 right now.
